We happen to be a couple of 'old as dirt' retired guys that have learned woodworking skills late in our lives. Two first cousins with the same first name 'Ronald'. Our mothers were sisters from a large Italian family of ten children.
Ron G. is a retired firefighter and Ron A. is a retired plumber. Over the years our families have been close, and we still have a large family gathering every Christmas. Ron G. has a son and a daughter and a grandson. Ron A. has two daughters, a granddaughter and a grandson.
Ron G. started woodworking over five years ago as a maker of handcrafted knitting needles to generate shipping revenue for a charity called Stitches From The Heart. He learned to knit in order to know how to handle the needles, and had trouble from the start holding onto a 'purl' stitch. After many attempts he developed the needle point he makes today. It works very well whether you knit in the English or Continental manner. He also takes the extra time necessary to polish every needle with a three stage Carnauba Wax finish. We hope you enjoy using them.
The custom pen making developed when extra time turned up to use the lathe. When Ron A. retired over a year ago he joined Ron G. and has become a master at making pens. We use wood that comes from just about every corner of the world, as well as acrylics and man-made 'true stone'. Our latest material in the making of pens is actual Rattle Snake skin that is encased in clear acrylic. The snake is a most unusual pen. A guaranteed attention grabber! The metallic parts of the pens are plated either in gold, silver, chrome, titanium or platinum, and some of them have a 'satin' finish.
All of our pens are either ballpoint, roller ball or fountain pens. The ballpoint pens have either a 'Cross' or a 'Parker' type ink supply. The roller ball pen has a readily available ink supply that can be purchased in most office supply stores. The fountain pen has a German-made nib, and can be used with a Mont Blanc cartridge or converter and bottled ink.
We hope you enjoy using our products.
