These pens are called "American" because of the unique shape of the top of the pen being flat, very similar to the ParkerŽ pens manufactured in America in the 20th Century. Each one is individually hand made by us. They are about ˝" wide at the top and about 5 ˝" long. These pens are made for the writer who prefers a lighter weight pen. They are all made with a double twist ParkerŽ refill. Double twist means that the top of the pen can be twisted either to the right or left to expose the writing tip. To replace the refill, twist the top to the left, past the stopping point, to unscrew the cap of the pen. Remove the old refill and save the spring to place it on the new refill. The pen can also use a Parker Gel refill. After placing the new refill into the pen, screw the cap onto the pen by turning it to the right. Once you have exposed the writing tip by twisting the top all the way to the right, give it a slight nudge to the right. It is now ready for
twisting to either the right or left to expose the writing tip.
